EngenderHealth Tanzania was awarded a three years project by a Large Anonymous Donor to increase access to quality post-abortion care (PAC) and Family Planning Services in Arusha, Dodoma and Zanzibar. In close collaboration with other partners the project aims at expanding access to quality Post-abortion care with emphasize on long-acting reversible contraception and permanent methods (LARC/PMs). EngenderHealth is now seeking applications from highly qualified Tanzanian candidates to fill in the following position of Project Manager based in Dar es Salaam. This position is open for Tanzania national candidates only.
Scope of position:
The project Manager will technically assist in the planning, organization, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the overall project activities. He/she will oversee the field offices and provide overall supervision to all project staff. The project manager will report to the Technical Director on the general implementation of the project and to Senior Technical Advisor for Clinical Services on day to day technical issues of the project.
Key qualifications:
Medical Doctor(MD) with relevant public health or public health specialist with management expertiseTechnical knowledge on reproductive health, maternal health, family planning, comprehensive post abortion care and related areasAt least 5 years of experience at a management position with budget and supervisory responsibilities in a donor funded ProjectAt least 3 of Qualification and experience in PAC and FP training and supportive supervision.Proven experience to work with donor supported projectsDemonstrated experience collaborating with Government of Tanzania officials and local and international organizations working in health sector.Ability to organize information and tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, pay attention to details, and handle a variety of responsibilities efficiently and effectively.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
