Tanzania' Geothermal Development Company Limited (TGDC) is a subsidiary company of The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) which was established in 'December 2013 for spearheading geothermal resources development Tanzania

4. MANDATES:'
TGDC is mandated:
• To carry out geothermal exploration including geo- logical, geochemistry, seismological, volcanological studies;
• To carry business In geothermal drilling for steam and hot water, well testing and logging, reservoir assessment and management;
• To mobilize funds for geothermal development from various sources;
• To promote geothermal business and developer of alternative uses of geothermal energy than electricity including watering cultures, therapeutic uses, geothermal bathing, drying of farm products and all industrial and non-industrial uses;

Position: Human Resources & Administrative Officer (1 Post) - Ref: TGDCI HRl028
Reporting to: Manager Human
Resources
Directorate: Human Resources
Position Objective:
Responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Facilitates the recruitment and selection processes to ensure that, the TGDC identifies and employs suitably qualified candidates in accordance with the laid down I procedures.
• Analyzes HR data to identify risks and opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Prepares salary, benefits and deductions to ensure employees are paid accurately and timeously • Compiles, captures and maintains update human resources information system ensure that the data is accurate and readily available or preparation of various management reports.
• Interprets, participates in disciplinary hearings and consistently implement the HR Policies and Procedures to ensure the appropriate understanding by employees and therefore minimize grievance and related queries
• Administers performance appraisal process in the company including coordinating appraisal meetings for departments;
• Provides administrative services such as office services (travel arrangements, supply of furniture, stationery items, maintenance of office building and office equipment/machines);
• Assists in managing medical services, health and safety issues in the company;
• Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Manager Human Resources.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• Undergraduate equivalent qualification in Public Administration or Human Resources Management.
• At least three (3) year of demonstrable working experience in HR function including industrial relations management

• Makes realistic, timely, practical, value-based decisions.
• Excellent knowledge on basic ICT applications

TERMS OF, EMPLOYMENT:
Permanent & Pensionable including six months of probation for other positions than Manager Planning & Projects. Man- ager Planning & Projects will be on three (3) years renewable contract.
REMUNERATION:
.A competitive package (according to existing Salary Structure) will be offered to successful candidates.
