Position Description: Junior Marketing Manager
Location: ATCL House Third floor, Ilala, DA es Salaam
Hours of Work: 50 hours per week plus attendance at events etc
Reporting to: The Assistant Manager

Overview
Marketing strategies
➢ Develop and implement client marketing strategies, including initiatives for multiple channels such as direct, online and print channels
Business development
➢ Develop and maintain relationships, write proposals and prepare quotes, attend business development meetings and contribute ideas to clients when pitching for new work
Marketing communication
➢ Oversee marketing communication with various companies, organizations and the government including drafting of tenders and marketing material copy
DUTIES OF A JUNIOR MARKETING PERSONNEL
• Organizing market research
• General supervision of every project
• Arranging promotional events
• Assessing the results of a marketing campaign
• Assisting the manager in writing reports and analyzing data
• Helping to drive online traffic with web-related campaigns
• Writing online content
• Communicating with clients
• To provide support to senior-level staff, entry-level marketing staff may occasionally have to travel on business.
• A fast-paced environment is typical, and long hours are sometimes required.
• compiling and distributing financial and statistical information such as budget spreadsheets
• Writing reports, company brochures and similar documents
• organizing and hosting presentations and customer visits
• assisting with promotional activities
• visiting customers/external agencies

Ideal Person Specification
Skills & Knowledge
➢ Proven experience as a marketing coordinator or executive, or as a project manager
➢ An understanding of integrated marketing concepts, with a strategic focus and practical approach
➢ Strong writing skills
➢ Experience in writing proposals and attending face to face pitch meetings
➢ Strong organization and time management skills
➢ People skills with the ability to build Support when networking, Liaising with external suppliers’ clients
➢ Confidence

Qualifications
➢ A tertiary qualification in marketing, management or other relevant field

➢ The ability to progress a variety of tasks simultaneously
➢ The ability to sustain effort over time
